When our smile looks good, we feel good. Missing a tooth can wreak havoc with our confidence, making us too self-conscious to smile. But there are several options for tooth replacement, including bridges and dental implants, that will make you love your smile again.

Bridges and Crowns
Bridges are dental restorations that replace one or more missing teeth and look completely natural. The bridges are custom-made and restore the proper bite between the upper and lower teeth.
Crowns don’t replace a missing tooth, rather restore a broken tooth or a tooth that’s become weak by a large filling. Crowns, which are also custom-made of either porcelain or ceramic, are capped onto broken teeth to restore both their appearance and their strength.
Like bridges, dental implants replace missing teeth, but at their roots. A small titanium post is anchored into the jawbone and acts as the foundation for a permanent replacement tooth. A prosthetic tooth is placed over the post once the gum heals.
Because the titanium post fuses with your jaw bone, your replacement teeth won’t slip or cause bone damage. The replacement teeth look and feel like the real thing, allowing patients to speak, eat and drink without any interference. They also won’t decay like natural teeth do.
The best candidates for dental implants have a jaw bone that is fully developed; have adequate bone to secure the titanium posts, have healthy gums, and have no secondary health issues that will deter bone healing – smoking, for example, can have a negative impact on the fusion of the tooth to the jaw bone.
Dental implants are a minimally invasive solution for replacing a single tooth or several teeth. They can even replace full sets of loose fitting dentures.
Dentures are either full sets of replacement teeth or partial plates or bridges. These removable apparatuses will restore your fully functional, youthful smile, restore bite and jaw functions, repair your speech, and allow you to eat all the foods you once enjoyed. Dentures will be perfectly molded to fit your mouth and smile.
